On Friday 23rd September 1910, Harry Sidney Lucas was born to David John & Gertrude Clara Lucas (née Pinkerton) at Sydney. Harry was the second child of seven born to David and the second of ninth to Gertrude.
On Saturday 25th September 2010 Harry's descendants gathered at Ryde Ex Services Club to celebrate his birth 100 years ago.
Researching our Australian family tree with branches tracing back to Cornwall, England, Scotland and Ireland including our convict past. Surnames include, Lucas, Pinkerton, McLauchlan, Paton, Miller, Mundy, Prisk, Melrose, Bray, Hodges, Leahy, Davis, Wilkinson, Schofield, Brown, Cleary and many others. Using 'genetic genealogy' (DNA) to prove the paper trail and move beyond it. (aka Aussie Rhonda's Genealogy).
