Introducing Patrick John 'Paddy' Cummin's youngest son

Last night, Thursday 19th February was an interesting night.  Whilst sitting here waiting for severe TC Marcia to cross the Coast of Queensland a few hundred kilometers up the road being and being hammered with sheets of wind and rain I decided to log into FamilyTreeDNA and check the status again of 'Uncle's' Family Finder test.  Results for batch 606 were initially due 11 Feb, then 18th, then 25th.  Once your myOrigins results load you know you are getting close to receiving full results.  SURPRISE, his myOrigins results were loaded!  Yippee!

Mitochondrial DNA T1 confirmed by second descendant test

Update on Peggy's and my own mitochondrial DNA, I elected to add the mtDNA plus test to Peggy's autosomal kit at FTDNA and the results are in, it's confirmed T1, one day I will upgrade further to the FMS (mtFullSequence), but for now because we have both been tested at 23andme.com as T1a1 I don't feel the need.  This has also been confirmed with my 3C1R Amanda Bortolussi who is downline of Zenobia Mundy through another daughter Elizabeth Ann Davis taking a 23andme test and coming back with T1a1.  Amanda has also joined us on WikiTree and has connected with our tree and is growing hers, fantastic to have you onboard Amanda.

Below is a chart of our mitochondrial DNA lineage:

updated live from WikiTree

Would love to connect with other descendant's of these women!  Add a comment or drop us a line.

ANZAC Honours - Maternal

Richard Fritchley and Winifred Burke

Ada May Cummins nee Matthews according to the birth certificates of her children and nee Hamilton according to her death certificate has been the hardest lady to trace along with her husband William John Cummins (A BREAK ON THE CUMMINS WOULD BE WELCOME!). I had applied for a birth certificate of Ada Mary Hamilton in 1881 whose parents were John Adam Hamilton and Matilda Fritchley, but had never been able to PROVE that it was the same person.

RIP ~ Patricia May Ellison

Cummins / Fritchley Line

Patricia May Ellison nee Cummins
25 May 1940 ~ 11 June 2004
Aged 64 years, 0 months, 17 days

With deepest regret we add Trish to this page.
We found Trish during our search for Peg's birth family, we didn't have
long to get to know her but I know Peg treasured the short time that
she did have with her big sister!

Dear Trish,
we hope you have coloured the path to heaven with rainbows,
we know you are now spouting poetry throughout the heavens.
Please give the spirits kisses and hugs from us
and whisper thank you to all that you meet
for their help, love and tender guidance...
not only for your journey home
but for all the help they have placed in our path
during our search to unite the families...

Peg, Trevor and Trish
