In my move towards complete open sharing of our genealogy I have posted Emily's album on our Facebook page, please have a look, and if you know anyone in the photo's please add a comment.
If you take any of the photos for your own collection please reference them and if you are adding to your genealogy database please source them correctly back to the Album or to here.

Introducing Patrick John 'Paddy' Cummin's youngest son
Last night, Thursday 19th February was an interesting night. Whilst sitting here waiting for severe TC Marcia to cross the Coast of Queensland a few hundred kilometers up the road being and being hammered with sheets of wind and rain I decided to log into FamilyTreeDNA and check the status again of 'Uncle's' Family Finder test. Results for batch 606 were initially due 11 Feb, then 18th, then 25th. Once your myOrigins results load you know you are getting close to receiving full results. SURPRISE, his myOrigins results were loaded! Yippee!

Males inherit one X-chromosome from their mother. Females inherit one X-chromosome from their mother and one X-chromosome from their father. Here are seven generations of ancestors who could have contributed to Peggy's X-chromosome and their approximate average percentage of contribution. Charlie 'Charles' Miller 1894, Bingara, NSW - 1949, Fremantle, WA
Pop on over to Charles Miller's profile at WikiTree, his biography is now complete, if you have information to add, please leave a comment on his page or if you have photo's please share and add them. How fantastic, 5 DNA connections, we have an awesome family, thank you!
At times like this when I complete a profile, I feel total awe that we started out with Mum's parents names only and total magnificent appreciation in being able to get to know this family as though we really did meet them and know them is nothing short of miraculous, thank you to all the family along the way that have shared the history to bring this to fruition. This is as much for you as us, Rhonda and Peggy x

WikiTree: Melrose DNA and Name Study
In my post "Surname: Melrose DNA Study"; 30 December 2013, I expressed my desire to trace our Melrose DNA and in particular try and connect with descendants of Thomas Graham Melrose who immigrated to Quebec in 1848 and married Anna O'Neil later that year. To further explain how DNA works, our objectives and show the percentages of how the 5 tested so far are related, I have created a project page at WikiTree Category: Melrose-DNA Name Study. Drop by and check it out.
Here is a background post about the two Thomas Graham Melrose's that we have been working to identify; http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/MELROSE/2003-07/1058716518

Unidentified Photo #0131 - Family, Mum, Dad & Girl - Wishful Wednesday
Photo #0131 from Emily May Miller nee Davis' photo album.
Are you able to assist in identifying this family?
On the back of the photo is written Emily,
but I think Emily has done that herself to identify it as her photo.
It's interesting that there is an extra hand on the left shoulder (looking at the picture)
and the person has been left off in the printing.
